Teething tips for the beginner

It's 3 AM you and your significant other are now staring at each other ready to cry because your 1 year old has been crying non stop for 6 hours!
Welcome to the wonderful world of teething! Sometimes it seems as if your child enjoys watching you and your mate walk around the house looking like something out of a B movie Zombie flick. Have hope there is a cure for this and NO it is not Grandma's "Rub some Bourbon on the gums" routine.
There are many products you can by, from frozen pacifiers to gum numbing gels but before you go spending a fortune try this simple trick
Next time you are shopping pick up a package of generic store brand frozen waffle sticks. It is important to use the sticks (or cut a waffle into stick size chunks) and give it to your one year old, they will instinctively put it into there mouth and begin to suck on it, the cold will reduce the pain and inflammation of teething and give them a nutritious snack to boot.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO NOT LEAVE YOUR CHILD ALONE WHEN YOU DO THIS!
ALWAYS remain in the room with them and monitor your child so they do not choke on a soggy waffle piece.
If you try this trick and monitor your child soon they will drift off to sleep, REMOVE the waffle from their mouth and get some rest, you deserve it!
